I've always done my own thing my path is that of the Home and all it contains I use the term Solitary Eclectic Hearth Witch so people know what I am doing. Labels help identify what we do but do not explain who we are, that is far more complex.
In the end doing what you feel is right is what matters. Some may disagree with me but my Father told me this :
'Always do your best and be happy with what you do, don't regret things in life, learn from your mistakes and be yourself life is far too short for anything else'
I have never belonged to a Coven as I don't like being told what I Have to do, I have had enough of that in my life.

I agree, I don't want to be told I have to do something just because. I guess I sort of have this sense that Covens are places of learning not ridicule, but I've never been in a Coven that follows any one path either. I want to learn and be wise have a sort of foundation I guess. The only thing that holds me back is the fear of not being accepted into a very serious Coven or Order of Druids because I have no heritage in Wicca or anything. It seems daunting.

I was never baptised into christianity. I have never self-dedicated into Wicca. I don't feel I have gained the knowledge I need. But I call myself Wiccan because that is the religion I study. Wicca is what I love, it gives me what I need. The God and Goddess are as real to me as the Christian God. I believe that studying any religion is a life long occupation and a joy. A dedication, initiation whatever is not important to me. I am who I am, no matter what anyone says. I am a solitary and happy to remain so. We could discuss this until the sun goes down and it wouldn't change my mind. I respect everyones opinion, we all have one don't we.

There are those who set out learning about wicca and take it very serious. Either by themselves or in a coven. And there are those that set out learning about paganism and everything under the sun (or moon as the case may be) but never get involved with the religion of wicca.
By and large, that second group frequently calls themselves wiccan without ever really understanding that there is a difference between a pagan and a wiccan. And they are usually the ones always argueing about what is or isn't wicca.
