okay so alot of peeps know im a witch and im totally cool with it i dont even hide it in frount of any one , ;D i have little flying witchies hanging up ,my cauldren by my permant altar my bookshelf compacked with books all with the Witch words and healing,my Crystals on show and my deck on the coffee table (just incase) i have pents hanging up and my gothic feas all over the place so theres no escapeing the fact im a witch in my flat, BUT the same question over and over.... "Are you a white or black witch???" i mean why are peeps so sterotypes?,le sigh i always answer that i am a grey witch or rainbow witch that covers all colours,as i honor the dark aspects of the goddess and gods and also i witch has gota do what i witch has gota do. it still kinda frecks them out a bit but why should i lie it would dis honor myself and my path. its not like i curse hex and damm every one i actully do more healing than anything eles. sooooo, what do you guys say as when some one asks you,or do you just say white to keep them calm?or like me and like to freek folks out a bit for fun ? *like the plastic frog and snake i have in my kitchen herbal cupborads so they fall out on them *Snorts*

I tell them neither. Simply because I do not believe in black or white aspects; energy has no specific color to me. However, even if you do believe in white or black magick, when these ignorant people(I mean in the actual meaning, uneducated people) ask you this question you could simply not answer them. Either ignore then or tell then that it is not their business, or that it is your personal information and let people know about it at your discretion. Good luck, hope that I helped you.

It generally never comes up. I don't bother with tools (I have them, but there all pack away)
As to being white/black, good or bad, is electricity good or bad? It's all about how it's used.

I've never been asked this question either but I have been asked (many times) what my beliefs are etc etc. It's a really good idea to get this clear in your head - write it down even. It's a good exercise for you as well as it makes you really think about your beliefs and it may even throw up questions which will give another perspective of something.

I've actually never been asked if I'm a white witch or a black witch. If I were, I'd be very tempted to say "Darlin', take a look at me. I'm about as Caucasian as you get!"

I have been asked this and I simply replied 'Magic has no colour it is the persons intent that counts. I am a Hearth Witch and that means my magic centres around the home and for me it is positive. I accept nature in all its aspects from sunny day to stormy nights. As far as I am concerend to lable a Witch as Black or White is the Hollywood idea of witchcraft. I am not a TV 'Charmed ' witch I don't have any hidden powers either. Others may see things differently and that is fine I follow my heart and the Wiccan Rede that says Do what you will and Harm none, for me that includes myself as well as others.'
That usually works and they don't ask again I am not annoyed by the question and try not to sound preachy. It just surprises me that people still think we worship the devil and work so called black magic. Hollywood has a lot to answer for if you ask me.

Since I'm not open to many people, I haven't ever got the question. But I've seen the belief that "every Witch is a Black Witch" around a lot, and it really annoys me, even more so than the "White or Black" question.
Juliaki, I might use that as an answer if I get asked! I'm whitey-whitey! (Well, now I'm normal white because I'm using a tanning lotion!)

lucky you as you can show who you really are. since i am a witch by tradition, whether i am black or white depends upon my needs. it is only unfortunate that the country where i am at the moment are still "ignorant" to what witchcraft really is and too violent on suspected witches. many were killed, hang on trees (the latest is the pregnant woman who gave birth while being hanged), stoned to death, being avoided, etc. they call it puri-puri in motu tokples.

lucky lucky you. but for the safety of my husband and daughters, i really need to hide the real me in the "closet" so to speak. wait till we get out of this country and i shall be free!
no hexes actually but sweet bottled spells and some witch jars kept in a locked componet of the kitchen to prevent the "locals (i mean our hausmeri)" from seeing.
that's why my close friends and relatives in my country of origin are taunting me for "hiding" he he he
