It's commonly known as a Mediterranean Tarantula (Lycosa tarentula) and is indigenous in Spain. I first saw her 3 years ago (that's when this picture was taken) but I saw her the other day!! How cool is that!

While she's lovely and I'm glad she's still around after three years, I am very glad she's at your house and not mine!
Namaste, Miss Spider!

"no no no ....me no like the spiders..." **shivers** I had a large spider a few weeks ago over take me, when i was hobbling along on my crutches....(cheeky spider) and then my hubby had one try to attack him the other day in the kitchen.... no joke.. he said it went for him.... I wonder if it is the same type of spider? ?

Now is the time of year, here in Washington, when the spiders look for somewhere to live for the winter. A very large one has taken residence in the space below the gutter of this rental property we leave in four days time. I hope the new renters will leave her alone. We are traveling back to Indiana with a truck camper, that has a hole usually invaded by wasps, this time of year. However, a friendly spider has covered the hole with 12 layers of web, and guards it from invaders. I hope she won't mind living in Indiana..
