I received a moonstone from my daughter because I have a difficult time sleeping. I wanted to check out other properties of the moonstone, and found this.
"Don’t diet. Reprogram your eating habits. Eat light meals at regular intervals, avoid sugars and fats, consume less red meat, load up on raw or steamed veggies, and fresh fruit. And, wear a charged moonstone. Three nights after the full moon, stand nude before a full-length mirror in light ---eeewww!!--- Study your body closely, using another mirror if necessary. To successfully perform this magic, you must know yourself, accept your faults, and then allow yourself to change. Be brutal with your visual self-analysis. See the areas you wish to reduce on your body. Visualize a new you – slimmer, in control of your food intake, fully alive. Then, hold a moonstone in your projective hand while continuing to visualize the body and discipline you wish to have. Then, hold the moonstone over the problem areas of your body, over the excess amounts of fat, visualizing them melting away. Draw it across your head to help control your urges to eat unhealthy and fattening foods. Finally, wear of carry the stone with you at all times. When you feel the urge for cheesecake, take the stone in your receptive hand, breathe deeply for 10 seconds, push the image of food from your mind, then grab a juicy peach or crunchy carrot stick. " ---I don’t know about you, but a peach or carrot just will not replace cheesecake!!!---
This is an excerpt from Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Crystal, Gem & Metal Magic

Hi Ebony rose, I too want to lose some weight. What i do know about moonstone is that it does aid with sleeping. don't know if it will aid in weight loss. anyone correct me if i'm wrong. What is have been doing is just trying to eat smarter, cut out the fast foods, and soda pop. drink more water and making ALL my foods baked. eat more chicken, fish, turkey. Try to cut back on the red meat. Also making the portions of food i eat the size of the palm of my hand. NO 2nds!! Don't get me wrong, I still have a occasional hamburger I walk alot at work so that is a given, so just try walking more, and besides it's winter time, your body will be burning more calories from a brisk walk outside. I have seen results from the things i have said and i have lost a total of 7lbs. ;D Hope this helps. Jacqueline~

Hi all I've not heard that about Moonstone before but Cunninghams' books usually get a good press so I wouldn't be surprised if it's true. As for me I have a few eating habits that has helped keep my wieght stable, i.e I don't use butter or marg on anything except when I bake and I only ever eat home made cakes and cookies ( I just don't buy them, then they're not a temptation ) I use skimmed milk, I eat 5 portions of fruit and veg a day, I never fry food - it's always oven baked or grilled, I eat as many and as big a portion of vegetables as I want, I exercise for 20 mins every day ( though I am planning on doing more now that the summer is on the horizon ) and I never deprive myself of anything - if I want/need chocolate I have some. ;D With anyone wanting to trim up and lose a few pounds the secret is exercise, you need to burn off more calories than your intake to lose weight, so just bear this in mind. *but I'm gonna try that thing with the Moonstone never-the-less.

I agree - reprogramming yourself to eat right and in moderation, plus the exercise thing, are the best ways to a healthier you. I know I do not drink enough water. I've finally gotten the exercise thing going and can thank my neighbor for that. He paid for a few months at the local fitness center for me. awww, isn't he sweet? I was surprised to read this in Cunningham's book so thought I'd share it. I'm going to give it a try. I have seen some powerful stone magic at work before.

Re-programming is one of the best ways to help along with a little excersize.. but it aint easy i have one of the sweetest tooth syndromes goingit was never anything major but about a month before i fell pregnant i started having the symptoms of diabetes and its only been 27 weeks since i had to cut out everything sweet not just for me but because it can do serious harm to the baby and it has been worse than hell when it comes to wanting somthing sweet... last night i near cried cos Lj had a crunchie and i wanted a bit so bad i had to leave the room and go for a bath.. so your very lucky in the fact re-programming is hard but at lest you can still treat your self every other week.. i have how ever not gained any waight during this pregnancy and once i have the baby my weight will drop off quite easily as it was the diabetes that had been stopping me from loseing anything in the first place... all you need to do is take it easy never try losing it to quickly as it messes up your metabilism and you end up gaining more than you lose. i know that one all to well as i have been on nearly every diet going except atkins i was going to do that but things changed.. take it slowly be good to your body and excersize gentley 2 or 3 times a week and dont over strain your self..

i've seen alot of weightloss spells they should publish them The Witch Diet i see it now... in books-a-million. right up there with Atkins, South Beach, and rice cakes. i can't lose weight. can't do it. there. HMMPH! but i'm still in school, i'm surviving of cafeteria junk and goldfish. for excorsize theres always DANCING LIKE AN IDIOT WHEN NOBODY IS LOOKING or in that crowded cafeteria, whichever. i remember finding a Hoo Doo spell that involves rubbing an egg on your body where you want to lose fat and then tossing/splattering the egg at a crossroads where you won't travel through. and then the fat would evenly disperse through people who pass there, as you lose fat. one person replied saying they used this method, and as they were splattering the egg, some of it got on their jeans. so they actually gained a bit after losing some. wish i could remember the link.
