Merry meet
Sorry folks for my absence I have been having health issues, which of course leads me to my question ;D
As a general rull I do not tend to work in circles however I will do so if I am doing a complicated spell or for some ritual work. I have not undertaken any of these recently but the question is
Should you step inside the circle if you are unwell?
What do you think

Should you step inside the circle if you are unwell? IMO no. I don't practice ritual work myself, but I do know that if your energy resources are low then you shouldn't partake in any form of magickal work.

I agree If your ill, your energy is out of balance and anything that you may attempt will likely be out of balance as well.

I agree with Goth and Watershield, Phoenix, and I am sorry to hear you are ill. Have you posted anything on Healing Waters? Would that help as a first step? My thoughts are with you, and I hope you are better since posting this thread.

((((((Hugs)))))))) P ~ My thoughts are with you P, but the guys are right, you need to rest and get better, so any ritual work needs to be left alone~ Why not, if its posssible, go for a small gentle walk, take in nature and little of the energy~ Miss you hun, get well soon~

Thanks guys! I have not had the energy for ritual work and my fear is as WS highlighted it would be out of balance and thank you verminda for the idea of a walk. The beauty of where I live is can breathe sea air from my bedroom if the wind is right ;D If not a short walk away. I have not posted on healing waters - it seems I have a leaky heart valve and suffering fairly constantly a high heart rate ( hence the tiredness ) I need to come to terms on what this will mean in my life before I can attempt to heal it! Thank you. I still have issues excpeting anything is wrong and plug on reguardless. HOWEVER my craft is one area where I will not risk any thing! Love and light P

it seems I have a leaky heart valve and suffering fairly constantly a high heart rate ( hence the tiredness ) Mitral valve prolapse? My sister has this and was told by her doctor that it's a fairly common condition, and nothing to worry about. She's living proof of that...always on the go and she's got a fairly demanding job too! The only thing she has to watch, are her visits to the dentist. She has to take a course of anti-biotics before she has any dental work done...in case she develops an infection. She suffers with palpitations and shortness of breath, and I told her she needs to learn to slow down and relax more. Does she listen? Does she heck! *shakes head* LOL

Goth - yes that sounds about right the only thing they can not understand yet is why the tiredness and the heart rate of 140 + ;D Also they are wondering about the chest pains! I like one consultant I saw when I was admitted into A&E told me to drink more malt whisky! I guess slowing down is something I am not very good at either what with just set up in business and 5 and nearly 2 year old and a 70 year old house to slowly renovate ;D ;D I just do not like anything wrong with me ;D Thanks for the vote of confidence WS promise to get back to the posh post soon

I'm sorry to hear you are not well. I can sympathize, going from an active lifestyle to one of feeling tired and run down all the time. It's not fun and causes lots of mental anguish.
Take the time to enjoy what is around you especially the little ones. Take one day at a time and try not to worry about whatt the future has for you. You cant change it anyway so why worry about it. (I know, easier to say than do).
I'll send what energy I can to you. Hope you are feeling better!

Should you step inside the circle if you are unwell? Would you go jogging if you felt unwell?
SOMETIMES using energy can boost your system and burn things out before they develop into something nasty. But it takes energy to use energy. And if your energy is already depleted, then it's probably a good idea to avoid magick and work on getting yourself better if at all possible.
And no, the above is not limited to working within a circle.
