I have been told that doing your own spells is best. Ok thats good I can do that, but my question is.........
Does someone have info on creating your own spells? Like some guidelines or something along the lines of that?

Just whatever works for you, really. Something you can get behind and believe in, as well as perform without feeling silly. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Hi Naughtywitch, I found that Ann Moura's "Green Magic" has a good section on teaching spell crafting, I'm not sure if that fits your path but might be worth a look. And I agree with thylasos, whatever works for you is best. I admit I've felt silly once or twice and started to giggle at myself, then I can't concentrate properly which ruins things just a little bit.

In the years before I got on line I managed to collect some books on magick, witchcraft, paganism, wicca, etc. I still use these "recipe books" for ideas. I like what I call Gestalt magick and work with quite a bit of that. For instance the idea of using a key to work a spell to find a new place to live. This is the sort of thing I call Gestalt and have used this method for years without using the word "magick" to describe it. But magick it is! I like to create my own spell work and write my own incantations but do use others I have read about if it suits my purpose. Ebony recently posted something she had written and I liked it and used it recently. Lots of spells online - a good place to get started. Getting started is the thing. Just "do" - you will develop your own style as you go.

I always have trouble writting my own spells, but I have learned, that when I really need the spell, everything just works out well.

I suppose if you are unsue on wriy=ting your own spells, look for an exsiting one that fits what you want it for. Then adapt to to make it more personal to you.
That way youmay get a feeling for what you need to write and in no time you will be wrting your own.

And remember above all else ~~ it is your INTENT that is whats important. The phrasing of the words, the tools used, mean nothing if your intent is not focused into the spell or ritual.
