I suppose it would depend on what medium you feel comfortable working in, how large/small you want it, and what you are wanting it for.
Is it for your altar? to wear on a chain? to carry in a pocket? to hang?
Do you like to work with wood? metal? paint? clay? fabric? yarn/string?
I have made pentacle/pentagram charms out of light weight wire, sometimes incorporating stones into them.
I am working on a design for cross-stitch, and a quilt block.
My next project is to try and make a candle holder out of clay, cutting a pentagram and the elements into the sides before I fire it.
I have a brass pentagram wind chime that has colored glass insets where bells are attached.
I have seen beautiful ones, large and small, done with wood. One was a table with the pentacle etched into the top, one was a smaller pentagram burned into wood with a burner, some were painted.
I have even seen stepping stones made with some kind of cement & rock combination that forms the pentagram.
If you need a pattern, let me know and I can email one to you or try to post it here.

Hi Ebony. I love the idea of the stepping stones. In Colorado we have alot of red rocks (hence the spanish name Colorado) and alot of granite. Can your please post one of the patterns here? Thanks so much!

If you look under "pictures of my alter" you will see a number of different pentagrams I made mine out of wood.
It really doesn't matter what you make it from as long as you feel it's "right"
Athame, wands, pentagrams, etc these are all tools used to aid with the focus of our craftings. Individually, they have no power other than what we imbue them with and feel they retain....IMO

Ok. Heres the pattern for pentacle-pentagrams. These are guidelines for whatever medium you want to make them in. I am not sure of the entire process for the stepping stones. These were made with a resin compound. the colored stones and pieces of colored glass were tacked onto the bottom of a mold to form the pattern. Then the resin compound was poured over the pattern until just covered, and left to dry. once that was done, the mold was filled with various stones, bits of glass, whatever, and the resin compound poured to fill the mold to the top. The one I saw with a pentacle was blue glass chips made the design, then a layer of red stained glass chips directly under the pentagram before other bits of stones and glass was added to make the stepping stone.
