Hi Every one! I know that its been a looooong time since I have been on line. I was diagnosed with Leukemia in June 07 and have been in hospital most of the time undergoing Chemo and a bone marrow transplant. I am now home, minus my hair and a good few pounds! The whole process has left me very tired (The hospital have told me It will be about a year before I regain my energy levels) My muscle tone is zero and I have to walk with the aid of a stick. I want to get back into some exercise (very gently) and I used to do Thai Chi. What do you think of this as a gentle intro back into exercise? Or does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks Fizban

I can only begin to imagine what the past year must have been like for you and your family. Glad to hear that you're now home. I would say Tai Chi would be OK for you to do - if you feel ready for it, it is a very gentle exercise. Yoga is also a good idea as it is mainly breathing and stretching and can be as strenuous or as gentle as you want it to be. I probably don't need to tell you this but I can't help it: don't expect too much of yourself and if you get tired STOP.
