ST. JOHN'S WORT Action:Alterative, astringent, avtiviral, relaxing nervine, anti-depressant, sedative, anti-inflammatory, cardio- tonic, external analgesic. well i used to use it for PMS and I foud it quite effective, but now I'm on the pill and I've read that the two don't go togehther.

Ooh, I didn't know this...that's why it's best to check with your doctor before taking herbs medicinally ~ thanks pixiedust I'll put a disclaimer under my initial post. Ok. Vitamin E and Evening Primrose Oil help with bloating and irritability. There's also Chaste Tree Berry (Vitex), a liquid which is taken in a drink, or under the tongue. This is good for breast tenderness, cramping and headaches. Parsley is another herb that's excellent for bloating and cramps.....tried and tested by me Hope this helps!
