When's the next bus?............... Well, we'll probably wait for ages....and then 3 will come along at once LOL Seriously though, I have no idea. I tend to think along the lines of that our physical body goes back to the earth and our spirit is reincarnated into another body, soon after death.

i believe pretty much the same as u Goth. That song "We call come from the Goddess and to Her we shall return" for me does mean the Earth Mother. I believe that Our bodies came from the Mother and so when we die they return to Her, but our Soul goes to Him, Her Consort, and He carries us to the Summerland or 'Limbo' and review our lives basically and what we've learnt. I also believe that we get to plan out our next lives but sensibally not like 'i wanna be rich and always successful' although u could plan that to try and learn if being rich does make u happy. And u might plan 'i wanna live in poverty but with a loving family' to see if love is all you need if you get me. Of course you don't remember planning it becoz it would take all the fun out of it. I believe that we are just here in each life to learn and our bodies are just beautiful vessles given to us by the Goddess. I try not to think much further then that about the afterlife. Life ain't for thinking about Death Luv and Light x x

After my last life, I have a vague memory of being in a hall. With me was at least one of my guides. We watched my past life, as though it were a movie, on the wall. I saw what my weaknesses and strengths were. I decided what I needed to learn, then I was "here".
I suspect the same will happen after this life, until there is nothing more to learn. At that point, I will have attained Nirvana.

See, I'm conflicted. I believe in reincarnation and ghost/ spirits/fay etc. This makes no real sense to me yet I have experiences of both. Still I know at some point (many, many years from now) I'll find out.

How are you conflicted? To believe in reincarnation you must believe in spirits.
A spirit is no more than an evolved / evolving life form. At some higher level, the reincarnation process stops. At least into this plane of existence.
The act of teaching is also the act of learning. So as our guides assist us, they in turn learn and evolve as well.

I believe it is a big circle, we are reincarnated and have a opportunity to do it all again, to to teach all over again.

I'm surprised I've never looked at it in that light as I've read up on Buddhism a bit and what you're describing does attest to that faith in many ways. Hmmmmmmmmmm........*ponder* ;D

I couldn't say. I believe, very vaguely that my spirit will return from whence it came, but be that to the nourishing Earth or to the Godhead I'm not sure. Hell, they're one and the same anyway. Ish.

Consider that the earth is a living organ within the Solar body of a larger entity. The Sun being the center, giving off it's energy feeding nurturing the body.
The Sun has a life span and will in time die out in a Nova and take with it, the planets or it's body.
It's vital energies will be thrown out into the vastness of space, to touch other systems, to be absorbed into the thing we call the universe.
It's reasonable to assume that each Galaxy has a life span as does the universe itself. That we can not conceive of the time these events occur does not mean they don't occur. (conversely, as we are limited by technology, there is no evidence they do)
Now consider the human form. When we reach the end of our days, our spirit, our energy is released. Is it not conceivable that we are just another link in a vast chain of existence. The concept of reincarnation is in my mind, a process of purifying the energy/spirit so it can move to the higher plane. An eternal process to maintain the balance.
The problem with reincarnation is if all spirits eventually attain Nirvana, why are there "new" spirits seeking Nirvana. Are spirits "born"? I think the answer to that question is; yes, in a manor of speaking. To me, Nirvana is a state of "position neutral". No positive no negative. To attain that, there would be a process of continuous tossing off the positive and negative energies. I doubt that it is possible for any spirit to remain neutral for eternity. In my minds eye I can see a spirit attaining position neutral momentarily, then attracting either positive or negative influences, flowing through, attracting more influence until cast off to be "recycled" or reincarnated. Consider position neutral, total awareness and total unawareness at the same time. i think that if every spirit attained that at the same time, existence would cease once and for all.

I guess I think along the same lines as a lot of people. When I die, I believe I will review lessons learned, unlearned, and from there develop a new plan. I believe I will be reincarnated until I have learned all of the lessons in my "book" and decide to go on to another "school". Actually, I was thinking about this the other day and talking about it with my boyfriend. Although I don't want to be sedentary, I will really miss my last time on Earth as a student. It kinda got me thinking if we could just incarnate for fun from time to time. We do spend quite a bit of time learning our lessons here, so like anywhere else that you spend a great deal of time in, it becomes your home. Anyways... As for where spirits/souls come from?!? I believe they are born as well. I don't know how or why yet, but that explanation just feels right to me. I believe the Goddess Herself has no beginning or end, but that She can give birth many times to new souls in order to experience different facets of Herself and to achieve certain goals for this "school". My 2 cents.

I believe that we are reincarnated. We spend a few years in the afterlife with the Crone. She helps us plan our next life and choose a lesson to learn duing our next life time. I also believe in spirits (seen plenty of them. My best friend is a median, and my feonce is like a becan to spirits). I think that spirits are people who were afraid of what would hapen to them if they went on, or that they died so suddenly that they don't even realize they are dead. Another reason for ghosts is that their death could have been so tragic that they refuse to move on until true justice happens. I have one of those living six blocks from me. Not a nice fellow, kinda disterbed, but I cant blame him. Anyways, if you have heard of the wild hunt it should explain allot. If you would like me to I could rummage around and find a meditation I used that allows you to ride with the wild hunt and see how peacful death really is. I used it after one of my close friends died. Death is not dangerous or scary at all. P.S. The wild hunt is sort of an out of body experience. The horned god leads it and you ride with him. He protects and explains everything for you.

The analogy i often think of to understand our spirtual movement is water. Every soul is like water. Water never really ceases to be. If falls, evaporates, and falls again, it rejoins with all other water, and takes various forms, vapour, liquid, ice, but no matter what it is still water. When it returns to it's source individual drops are still drops but at the same time the become all water, until they fall as a new drop. The lessons we learn in life are ours when we live, in a sense they are all of creations (that link never really goes even though we are in these clumsy physical bodies) but when we return, we know all of creation, for the brief time we are there, we are all of creation, we remember why we have to live these physical lives, and due to that return to learn more.
