Greetings. I am new to the forum but long have practiced herbalism and the use of entheogenic plants in ritual. I am of the clan O'Flaherty and am a pagan. I am interested in the craft and wish to be trained as a witch. I must prepare first and learn as much as I can. I wish to use this forum in order to do this and perhaps make some friends. I am a member and frequent poster on edot and some of you may know me as meangreen. For those of you who do not know me--I'm pleased to meet you and hope that we get along famously.

You indicate that you wish to be trained as a witch......
It hard to understand exactly what you mean. If at some point you decide to join a coven, depending on the tradition, everything that you learn as a solitary will be challenged and/or unlearned an re taught.
Just as there are differing denominations of the christian faith, there are variations in paganism and or witch craft.
Best advise is to keep an open mind and follow what feels right to you at the time.

Thank you watershield. What I meant was that I would be interested in joining a coven and learning from a master. Before doing so, I would like to continue to practice my visualization and meditation skills in order to better prepare myself. I have some skills to offer a coven already but would like to expand upon those. I understand that there are denominations of witch craft. I am currently exploring denominations while holding on to what I know. I do not want to find some type of belief system. I already have a good idea of how things work.
