little help

i have been into a few of the sites and when i first start in it asks you to log on when i put in my pass word it shows i have a way in but when i go onto other sites and it asks for my pass word it is not accepted and i have got a message that my name is not registered i am new to all this computer stuff so maybe its me but if anyone can help i would be grateful hew

This question may get moved to a different area, but....

Some sites are set up so that the administrater must approve you first, then you get an email with an activation code.
You would need to copy that code, log onto the site and when promted paste the code in the appropriate box.
