I'm watching the early returns and not liking what I'm seeing.
I give fair warning to all who self identify as pagan, witch or wiccan....if Romney wins....hide your faith.

Under the constitution I don't believe that's legal. There has been talk of breaking up America for many years. At least 20 years ago it was an idea to seperate Califoria, Ore, Wash and join with BC and Alaska to form Pacifica.
Good for generating headlines but won't go anywhere.

It is simply because the election did not go the way they wanted. People are so stupid sometimes...but this is America and it is their right to be stupid. HOWEVER....latest History Channel breaking news for Dec 21st...solar flares. The sun is "ramping up" they say with increased solar activity. This increased solar activity could cause solar flares which could cause electromagnetic pulses knocking out power for years...and could damage the magnetosphere causing pole reversal. Well, not sure if I should stock up on batteties, sunscreen, or blankets....LOL!!

Yep. The solar activity has been ramping up all year. It goes through a cycle of...I think....20 years or so. Last big storm knocked out power to NY city and part of the Eastern sea board. Back in the early 90's I think.
I have my doubts that we will actually be wiped out on any specific date but extinction from space is always a possibility (and very likely at some point) I think if "the world as we know it" is going to end, it's going to be the result of a total world economic break down followed by civil wars and total anarchy. We're already seeing that in Greece and Spain. Now there are very strong indications that the Chinese economy is on the edge of staling. If they go down they take everyone with them.

Yeah. Say a listing on EBay offering a case of Twinkies for $3,000 US.
Those things have a shelf life of about 20 years with all the junk in them.
As to Wonder Bread, It may be gone in the states but a Canadian company has had the rights to make and sell it in Canada for years. No indication they plan to stop.
Was watching a show maybe two nights ago. If China goes down, the demand on oil will fall world wide and it's expected Gas will drop 30% at the pumps. North America would see a dramatic decline in imported goods, which sounds good. But when you take a look at Wal Mart and note that they sell huge amounts of Chinese goods, they could be forced to down size and start lay offs nation wide. Between them and the others, you could expect to see unemployment go up as much as 5%

Yep...ethanol is one of those things that really has no science behind to prove it does anything to improve efficiency. It's all marketing making a product look better than it is.
There was a recent story up here PROVING the premium gas is no more efficient than regular gas. All those additives, detergents etc...do nothing.
The only thing putting ethanol in gas did is push up the price of a number of grains which and also pushed up the cost of living.
Last I heard, China holds over 3 trillion in loans to the US. They are really upset because there is no inflation factor built into that debt. US is paying off all foreign in inflated dollars so technically is only paying back $ .70 on the dollar. If they can get the debt paid down then it's a matter of taking dollars out of circulation and increasing the value.

US politics is quiet the game. Between TV stations like FOX giving a bias point of view and the super Paks giving twisted scare tactic nonsense, it's a wonder the States doesn't self destruct. The average US citizen has almost no hope of fully understanding what's going on because they are being bombarded from all sides 24/7 It really takes a lot of hard work to get to the truth in a story and most people don't want to work that hard. A good example is trying to find the truth in state run Romneycare vs Fed run Obamacare. Sometimes the agenda is more important than the people you are supposed to be serving.
