Making Crystals

I was given a Crystal making kit as a gift I haven't used it yet, has anyone used one before, have you had any luck any do's or don'ts?

Also, is using Crystals that are man made have any use in a Magickal sense?

The kit has Mono-ammonium Phosphate
Aluminium Potassium Sulphate
(they sound a bit nasty actually)

All in different colours!

I've heard of the kits but never used one.

Crystal is a crystal. Man made or formed in nature. Chemicals come togeather, react, and a crystal grows from that interaction.

As far as use in magic, no crystal is good if you can't "feel" it.

Eh I've never had a bit of luck with anything I've made or bought that was manmade. I think for many there is just something missing when it's done in a lab (house, bathroom, basement wherever) as opposed to in nature.
