Greetings. I have been reading the posts here as a means of getting to know you all; I decided it was finally time to quit lurking and introduce myself.
I live on the Wet Coast of Canada, specifically Victoria, BC where it was so windy today I kept watching for someone to drop a house on me!
I am a single mum, and if 50 is indeed the new 30.....I am 32.
I have been on this path most of my life but only in the last years have I discovered where that path lead. I am currently studying runes, learning how to read auras, and working on developing my precognitive insights. I have had some pretty mind blowing experiences in that area and wish to learn how to harness it.
If anyone has any authors to recommend on these subjects, I would be pleased to hear them.
Nice to meet you all!

Greetings and a very warm welcome. You may have noticed, I'm in Victoria as well.
That wind was something else...took part of the roof off the deck. Did you get the snow today?
As to Runes....I've got a set but they don't talk to me. Have you looked at: Practical Guide to The Runes, by Lisa Peschel

Thanks for the welcome, Watershield.
We were spared the snow here in James Bay...sorry to hear about your deck roof......I see a hammer and nails in your future!
As for Runes, I picked up a few books on the subject at Russells, but not the one you mention...I shall go on a search for Ms. Peschel's book. I appreciate the suggestion.
I spent an afternoon at the Dallas Rd waterfront and gathered little flat stones which I painted them myself--definitely no artistic talent here! But they do seem to talk to me.
Thanks again for the welcome.

You're not that far away, I'm in Gordon Head. There's a nice little area just off Gordon Pointe Drive I like to go down to, very small rocky beach and large flat rocks to fish off.
Great place to just sit and think, away from the noise of cars, etc. The majority of the houses are on the other side of the road so you don't feel like the world is watching your every move.
It's been a while since I was in the store, but there is a shop in Fan Tan Alley that carries runes and many other things as well. Triple Spiral.

Jeni--thanks for the welcome!
As to Tripal Spiral...spend a lot of time...and money...in there. In fact, I have signed up for a course with them which starts next week. Nice way to meet kindred spirits.
I'm not too familiar with Gordon Head...but isn't nice to live in a city where the ocean is oh so close?
