I recently read this from a book(sorry I don't remember the name of the book).
Evil ignored harms everyone. The author was questioning wether or not a witch was responsible for ridding the world of evil when she/he comes across it.
It's an interesting idea, but are we suppose to be super heros?
What do you think?

How anything is perceived, good or evil, is a matter of perspective. And then there is the aspect that for ever thing of light, there must be one thing of darkness to maintain a balance.
Is it the duty of a witch or energy weaver to rid the world of evil....no. That's a task that could never be done.
Is it our duty to understand all forms of good and evil we come across? I think so, or at least, as best we can. For in understanding of "a thing" we learn to see the balance within it. And in seeing that inner balance we learn that there really is no such thing as good or evil in the greater sceam of things.

It's no-one's duty to "Rid the World of Evil". And it's a dangerous concept to even start with, as I've never met two people who who can even agree on a satisfactory definition of Evil, let alone a plan to rid the World of it.

I think if we see or are aware of someone or some group doing something wrong we have a moral obligation to deal with it in the most practical manner. Not because we follow the path but because as human beings residing on this planet, we owe it to our fellow man.
It is simply a matter of calling the police.
Now I am not saying meet a criminal head on, or take it upon yourself to physically deal with them. However, ignoring it will, in the long run, cause more harm than good.
If we hide under the bed and refuse to aknowledge what is going on right outside our doors, then we are just as much of the problem as the person(s) causing it.

Sort of...deal with those things within your ability to do so and in a way appropriate or warrented. For all other things, call for assistance.

I feel we have a moral obligation as human beings to stop what we can. I don't feel that obligation requires us to put ourselves in danger though. But it does not hurt anyone to make an anonymous phone call.

We cannot save the world, but we can lend a hand when we see a need. Lending a hand can also mean helping to put a stop to a perpetration of harm. I am most certainly not opposed to a binding spell or two. ;D
