Runes

I have made my own runes out of salt dough and have had good results with them.
Now I want to make a ground cloth for casting the runes. I want a simple design that is easy to use as well. Problem is finding one that will be easy to: a) make and b) read the casting.
I have found some sites that offer all sorts of casting cloths from rainbow designs to complex things with circles and lines.
Has anyone here used a casting cloth?
If you have what design is the easiest to use?

I like to keep things simple as I have always thought simple is best why complicate things when it is not needed.

Thank you Cherokeewind I will look into that I could add the colours to a white cloth maybe in a cross stitch pattern.

Thank you Cherokeewind I had not thought of using Lavender before. I use the plant in things like spell bags or dream pillows etc, but not the colour for Water and West. I can see how it would work though as it has a blue hue to it.

A casting cloth can be anything you want. See what calls to you.

i am intrested in runes. thought of trying to make some. But first want to learn all that i can about them. Can you share how yours are working out for you. and any other tib bit you'd be willing to share. thanks

I have a set but they don't like me, or at least won't talk to me. So they sit in a drawer until their ready to say sorry....

I cast my runes this morning. They told me I need to work on my self esteem, spiritual
guidance, leadership, strength, and courage. Sounds like a lot to me. I have been so
unbalanced lately,I guess this is what I need.

The runes don't speak to me. I've owned and made various sets over the years and I've yet to have one that I feel the same affinity with that I have with my quartz ball or a bowl of water.
