I recently stumbled across some Youtube Vids with a fellow by the name of J. H. "Herbie" Brennan. Tells some very interesting stories. One of the vids is his experience with Faeries.
Frankly, in the back of my head, I've always doubted the existence of faeries. But these video's have me a tad intrigued. So much so I intend to spend some time out in the flowers just to see if there might be one around willing to show up.
What about you. Any one here have any experiences to share regarding faeries?

I've never met a faerie, but I kinda believe in nature spirits, or the spirit of nature or similar, and faeries are kind of grouped into that. It is a nice belief though

Now this is something I do beleive in and have been ridiculed for it so I often don't say much about it. Years ago I had an experience that convinced me there is something that we call faeries. Something that was not a butterfly or any insect was there in front of me not a shape you could say was human either more of an energy that was forming in front of me. Not a ghost but a shimmering energy form that was above the pants stayed a while then was gone. I has asked if I could see the Fey and this was my answer. So yes I beleive and work with the Fey.
Like I said people laugh so don't say much about it plus working with the Fey I ask before I tell people anything so as not to offend them.

I've saying for years that man made the gods to take the blame for his own errors or anything that he could'nt understand. Man in turn is an expression of the one energy (the source) as is everything that we persieve in this universe. I've never knowingly encountered a feiry so I have no first hand knowledge to work with. I do wonder though. Are the Fey expressions as we are or something we created like the gods?

No Idea what they are, energy is the nearest I come to it. Maybe we see the energy that is all around us and interpret it in different ways. They say you see a faery as you want them to be, that is why some see them like the fairy tale fairy and others see them as sprites. All I know is some people can connect with energy from plants, stones, trees, rivers, the Moon, crystals and so on. So it is not impossible for someone to connect with the energy that is around us and see it as a tangible entity.
Just because we don't understand something does mean it does not exist or that it has to look a certain way. Even if we created them does it negate the fact that we are connecting with natures energy in a way that makes it easier for us to understand? Ask a child if Faeries exist and will tell you they do, ask them as an adult and the answer is No, maybe we lose something as we get older. Keeping the child alive in us keeps the wonder of the world alive and we are able to see the beauty around us in a different light.

I think that's the advantage of a site like this. We can ask questions, get some replies and look objectivly at the information available.
I've read some people attempt to entice the fey out into the open with sweets and such. I can't see myself doing that, but now I at least have something new to ponder as I sit in the garden.

I see them as orbs of glowing light in various colours, from lime green to pink, to white and red. They are around me a lot and whilst I've never tried to communicate with them I feel that they know I am aware of them. It's not something I've delved into really.....it's possible the different colours could represent different nature spirits.... Wulf - I totally think that as we grow older and our minds get conditioned by the adult world around us we lose a LOT of the magic we had as children. I'll have a look at those videos WS, when I've got a bit more time.

Growing up sucks, we give up so much and are filled with all the doubt and fear that surrounds society. It is nice to get back the wonder we had as a child and not question every single little thing and accept what we see. I sometimes just sit and let the beauty of the garden wash over me it is then that I connect with nature.

I believe in the sidhe... interacting with them is beautifully illustrated in the classic Celtic poem Tam Lin... they are occasionally curious, but not inclined to be our friends, and in some cases are antagonistic, and not liking the word "no".
I'm inclined to avoid them at every turn...
