Yep, the moon MAY appear to be somewhat larger as the orbit will be something around 5 -6,000 closer to Earth. It may have some minor affect on the tides, but really what mystical value is there here?
Over the centuries, people have attempted to connect this cycle to disasters. But there is no evidence to link the moon to any event on earth. Now, I must say, for me the moon holds no mystical attraction. It's just a big rock that reflects the light of the sun. During a full moon, more people pay attention to the moon and there is some potential that their energies are directed at the moon and reflected back to us just like the suns light. But that's just my opinion...others may disagree.

I feel a strong pull to it no matter when or what day it is come rain or shine or snow I have to see that moon the same way my body craves saltwater to the point where ill dump salt into water just to lay in it!! Its weird to some but I get real aggressive and cranky jittery and unfocused if I wait to long for a saltwater bath. My husband was an unbeliever. We moved to his mothers place who only had a shower for 2 months of hell then by a miracle we watched his sisters house who had a tub I had a salt bath and he thought after that I had a personality. Disorder but when we came back to our house it literally saved our marriage. And I'm a cancerian and my moon rules me deeply

I too feel a strong pull to the moon - it certainly affects me on an emotional level i.e moods.

Actually, I did read something a while back. The article made some sort of reference to the water content of the human body and the tidal pull from the moon...can't remember enough about it

Yes I have read something similar. Basically the human body is 80% water and if the moon can have such an effect on the tides then maybe it effects the human body too?
I know it effects my mental/emotional state. I was lucky enough to see the moon on Saturday and it was an amazing sight - took my breath away.

Stastical studies have shown that crime goes up during a full moon, certainly. Excepting murder, though that's such a rare crime that it may not show up in the analysis.
I had a very odd time in Russia both in the black days and the white nights, though the pollution in the city I was in was so polluted I barely ever saw the moon.
