In another site I mess around in, a question was asked;
"If, in Wicca, the All is perfectly balanced between male and female, is it correct to infer the All is perfectly balanced between good and evil?"
What your thoughts?

OK, I'll start the ball rolling. I disagree.
Nature is about TRYING to strike balances but recognizes there really are no balances. There can not be, for there to be true 'balance' things would have to stand still so they could balance. Like seasons, they constantly change and life on this rock is geared to those changes. So to WE are never in the absolute still that would permit balance. What we call 'life' is about trying to find it, not doing or having it.

I sort look at it slightly different. In my view, The All, Source, Divine, what ever you want to call it, is in balance. And because "it" is balanced there is no progression. No independent learning. No independent growth.
But then there is this anomaly we (as part of that anomaly) understand as the universe. We, being of the energy, sense the positive and negative aspects of the energy and with our limited ability, attempt to define it. We call it good / bad, pure / evil, dark / light, etc.l And according to some internal moral code decide what is good or bad and in what degree. These individual judgements keeps the balance off centre in this physical world and that in turn provides the potential for learning and growth. In turn, when we leave this plane of existance, the lessons learned are shared with the source.

In Wicca is there really balance between male and female?I think it tends to lean more on a matriarchal religion.Then again is any religion balanced?
For me life is more like a tide.This ebb and flow really has no so called good or evil.
