The dog started a very low growl and the cat patted my face with its cold paw(nails not included at the time)and huddled by my head.
We sat there real quiet..far in the distance I heard a hoo hoo hoo hoooo. Then there was another and another. They were moving closer you have got to be kidding me. They were getting loud. There was two others that sounded like coyotes but then the vocals changed. Then the night rang out with an unbelievable echo sounds of 5 owls that in the yard. Hate to have been a mouse out last night.
LOL...My gramma and my mom use to tell me it was bad luck or death in the family(most likely the poultry) to hear the sound of an owl,but to hear five of them what are the chances of that happening.
Now its back to sleep dog on one side cat on the other. The owls are off in the distance.

Oh lucky you, I LOVE owls. I've heard a cuckoo for the last few days and that really excited me too! Would love him to show himself to me though.

Its was great ot hear them. I was tempted to go out there and look at them witha light but I felt its good enough just to hear them I didn't want to scare them away. I think they were having issues about hunting territories.
I hear them when I go out for my evening walks with the dog and collect fire wood. I know there are at least two pair.
If this was a sign what would it mean to you? Everyone has their own thoughts about what it would mean to them.

The owl figure differs depending on what pagan ideas you follow.
Well I know how I feel inside at that moment when I hear them but that can change on the time of day and the weather.I know what its like to see one up close in the wild flying with no sound.A swift instintual solitary hunter. Trusting. They have a quiet grace almost humble, and there babies are so darn cute in a big eyes fuzzy bird sort of way.
I would like to see what others peoples views are on the owl from the people that are here.
