I've tried a number of times to get my avatar set here...
I know there's a size limit, so I cussed and cursed paint program
to get this down to a 68x94 pixel size but it won't upload it 
Any ideas would be appreciated ;D

Hi Molli
The first thing you need to do is to set up a photo hosting account with Flickr or Photobucket - both are free and easy enough to do. I use Photobucket so recommend them. Once you've registered an account with them you are then able to upload photos and images onto your account and it automatically generates 4 sets of codes for you.
For a photo you want to use in a post you need the IMG Code and for an Avatar you need the Direct Link code. You just copy and paste the codes in the appropriate places.

I don't know for sure how to do a photo of yourself, but i o know how to put your own picture of the net.
if you google what pic you want, then click on the tab saying pics. choose what pick you want, then go to view the pic in its normal size. look at the http:// slot and copy and paste it into your profile. then just save. if the pic don't look right, alter the pic by changing the width or hight.
email me if you don't understand. sorry i'm not the best at directions or instructions.
