Hi Everyone thanks for the warm welcome.
This site is a treasure and refuge. I've always had a stong connection and respect for nature. I'm presently drawn to finding out as much as I can about the power of herbs and plants for healing. I've got 2 small children and since starting school they had so many illnesses, chest / ear infections, coughs colds ect ect
They had course after course of antibiotics. It got to the stage where the docs where talking about putting Grommits in my daughters ears. In desperation, I turned to natural alternative cures. To my amazement I found they worked. Both children are now strong and well. I realise that the cures I was giving where just the tip of the iceberg and that nature is such an incredible pharmacy. I have so much more to learn.
My latest quest is for something that can ease the craving to smoke. I know there will be a herb or plant that can help, but have no idea where to start. If anyone can suggest something I would be very grateful.
Thanks

Greetings and welcome
Sites a bit quiet right now, but as the cold weather returns I expect so will our members.
Colds and kids, the two go hand in hand don't they.
Smoking.....I smoked from the age of 12 to 39. 2 packs a day. Tried to quit and stopped many times. Used most of the products available at the time. Always started again within a month. What got me to quit was when my 8 year old daughter destroyed a full pack of smokes and told me she didn't want me to die. I haven't smoked since.
Using herbs, pills, etc is just using a crutch. They don't last. You need a reason to quit and a strong desire not to disappoint.

Hello and a MASSIVE welcome to the site. I'm so happy you've learnt the wonders that is nature and what she has to offer. I'll look forward to swapping remedies and lotions and potions with you. As for smoking - you're asking totally the wrong person I'm afraid. I smoke 15-20 roll ups a day and have no intention of giving up. It is verrrrry quiet round here at the moment but don't let that put you off. WS and I are always around.

Hi, Watershield and Hedge, thanks for the replys.
I happy to share what I've learnt with anyone intrested.
As for smoking I totally get what your saying Watershield. Believe me, I did have a strong desire to quit and the motivation. However the stress of withdrawal had always got the better of me. I wasn't hoping for a cure for smoking, but something to take the edge of the severity of withdrawal After research, I've found relief using a combination of natural remedies. If anyones intrested I'd be happy to post them.
