Just recently I ordered The Witch's Tarot book and cards set... The description said Ellen Cannon Reed incorporated the qabala into her deck. I had not realized how much it was incorporated into the deck until I recieved them and began reading the book ! I was confused to say the least since I'm not familiar with the qabala as of yet. Does anyone here have this deck and can you give me some ideas on this ? Hope I'm not being too vague ! Gentle Light Mollimizz

...and then I ordered the SoulCards ! I LOVE this deck They not only "spoke" to me from the website they were even more "verbal" in person... They don't have a description booklet so it's what one "hears" or "sees" on the individual cards; they are a trip ! I'm so gla I got them Gentle Indigo Light Mollimizz

i have never ordered or bought cards....i have a mini conolly pack which is perfect for putting in my bag..i love this set even in its tiniest form:) the ones i use are the Norse Tarot found by a friend of mine on top of a skip complete with a book, she instantly thought of me, i`m so pleased she did:) I have rune cards, sent to me by a friend from southampton and they have been brilliant, even my teen daughter loves using these.. I also have Brian Frouds Faerie oracle, but thats just too pretty to use, i just pour over the images:)

They say (who ever they are) that much about Tarot Cards is intuition. I have a deck but have never had much luck with it. Not my thing I guess.

Not my thing I guess. it isnt everyones thing, my intuition is so strong i dont really need the cards, sometimes its almost a curse, but it has kept me out of some dodgy times i must say...I rarely read the cards nowadays...i go with the light/heavy approach to life...and the cards are there as an overview of what has already been, if that makes sense.. learning by hindsight?

In terms of the reltaionship between Qabala and the tarot, it's been most fully explored, to my knowledge, by Aleister Crowley's Book of Thoth, encomapssing the Thoth deck.
The major arcana of the tarot deck a representatives of the paths between, the sephirah (which simply means numbers, the singular being sephiroth) of the Tree of Life in the Qabala, a symbolic representation of both the universe and conciousness.
Each sphere, each sephiroth, represents a body in the universe, as well as a realm of conciousness. The four suit-cards of each number represent the sephirah, the spheres, themselves in four aspects, as representing by the magical (representative of mental) tools of the sword, the pentagram or disc, the baton or wand, and the cup.
The tarot deck was used as a meditative tool in this manner by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, and possibly earlier, to acheive certain states of conciousness and expand upon one's knowledge of the concious universe.
The full correspondences of the cards, and many other things, (as compiled by him) are available for perusal in Crowley's "Liber 777".
I hope that helps, somewhat.
