Hi everyone,
Not sure what I should put here... My name's Audrey and I'm from Canada. If I were to categorize myself in the Pagan community, I'd probably say I'm an "eclectic solitary witch".
I grew up in a conservative Catholic household but since high school (and fabulous world religion courses) I've come to terms with the fact that I need my own path, and Wicca is something that just clicked for me. For the past 5 years I haven't really been able to do much research, because my parents would probably have freaked. Now that I'm living on my own, I'm hoping to be able to gain much more knowledge and find my "fit" in the Pagan community.
I'm Metis (it means "mixed blood", but usually refers specifically to those who descend from the French who colonized Canada and their Native American wives), of three descents; French, Wendat (Huron), and Iroquois. I like to blend Native spirituality into my primarily Wiccan belief system. My totems are the wolf and the hawk.
That's about it, I think. I'm studying Spanish in university so that I can travel to the poorer regions of Latin America and do some development work there. I'd enjoy to going to Africa for the same reasons. I also swing dance, write short stories, and enjoy a nice cup of mint tea.
