missing card

sorry if you didn't want any questions posted in here. just thought it fit best here.
i use the Llewellyn deck. i use them regularly. but a while back i lost the two of cups!!!!
so i've been using one of the extra cards that have the info of a spread on it as the two of cups.
so what does anyone think about using a replacement card?? is that common?

I don`t know, but if it was me I would be thinking that it has gone missing for a reason. How long ago did you lose it? Maybe you were due to do a reading for someone and somebody somewhere has made sure that card wont be used in the reading. It must be what they dont need to hear or it may confuse what messages need to be given.

The same goes for if you just read for yourself. So, I would just let a bit of time pass and see if it turns up. If it doesnt after a while I would make your own two of cups out of a piece of card and add it to the pack.

Think carefully on what the two of cups means, and what its dissapearance could signify. Be careful with your current readings, however, either call the manufacturer for a new one if youre that worried or use a replacement...the intent is the same and that's what matters. The only worry would be the inability to use the symbolism on the card as part of the reading, but the need for that doesnt come up very often...use your intuition. With the rider-waite deck replacement really isnt needed, but for theme decks it's highly recommended.
