I just got my new (FIRST) deck!!!!!

I'm so excited! I'm so happy! I just got my first Tarot Deck!! I was at the bookstore with my friend and I was like, "Hmm.. Mom's not here, I'mma get a tarot deck!" and I did!! I got the normal Waite-Rider deck and it's so awesome. I've been doing readings with them and I let them sit in the moonlight last night. Lots of people are saying that my readings are quite accurate.
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! I'm so happy! =D

So i know how to read and stuff, and I'm getting to know my cards, but is there anything I need to know about deck care?

Also, I'll take One-Card readings for anybody who wants one! Please refrain from Yes/No questions though. =(

OMG, I'm so thrilled, lol.

Btw, sorry I hadn't been on in like, a week. The week's been very eventful.

Congrats, and I hope you do well with it. My first was Hanson-Roberts (a more beautified version of Rider-Waite) because I find the Rider deck repulsive, though it seems few around here really seem to agree. As for deck care, each Witch has her quirks, but I would suggest keeping the deck in a black cloth or box, for black is the color of banishment...but it really is up to you.

If I may ask: why black/banishment? I would think that yellow for knowledge would be a better choice, but, of course, you know a lot more than I do, lol.

Ohhh.. that makes a lot of sense! Hmm... I'm gonna have to get my cards back out then put them away again. I wasn't very happy when I put them up last time. I'm gonna have to look around for some black cloth as well. I currently have them wrapped in a bandanna that's pink, red, green, cream, brown, and black (in a really cool wavy pattern design). I wonder if the colors have been affecting my self-readings. They haven't been bad, but kind of difficult for me to figure out what they're trying to say to me. It may be a minor language barrier since I'm still in the process of study and getting to know the cards, or, well, i don't know.

hehehe Maybe you should do what feels better for you and follow your heart. Do you WANT to use paper or even wrap the deck up? lol. If u don't want to use paper, then buying a nice piece of black cloth might be worth the time and effort. I have some Tarot Cards but I will admit, 1 deck is in a box without a cloth and it doesn't bother me. Just don't let people mess with your cards without permission more important and they should be ok either way!
