Hello, this is my first visit as a member but I have often wandered through the site as a visitor. I don`t know what my direction is. Initially I wondered what a `hedgewitch` was. I googled the word and a series of links led here. I probably don`t have anything to contribute but I look forward to listening to you all in wonder.

Greetings and welcome
Don't be afraid to post or ask questions. No matter how simple. When a question is asked, we all need to think of what response we would provide. We examine our own beliefs again in the process and so we all learn.

Hello again - I just remembered something strange that happened a few years ago. I was helping with a school trip (for my sins!) and an Irish girl of about ten years old said to me, "Are you a Wiccan?" I was a bit taken aback but just said, "No love, why?" and she said, "Well I think you are. Me mother says one always knows another one." And that was it really. Not the usual sort of chat you get on a school trip, you know, "Are we there yet, can I eat my packed lunch, I feel sick." etc. Hmmm - - -

That is strange from one so young. Incidentally I can spot other pagans - it's the little things to look out for - can't really explain it in words. Maybe it's a sparkle in the eye or something.

What I think is strange is that I wasn`t anything really so she couldn`t have `seen` anything. I was more or less ignorant of the subject and really didn`t know what she meant. She was a nice kid though. Got bullied in the playground a fair bit. Teachers sometimes less than sympathetic. "She should try to fit in more!" Parents moved away after a while. Nice parents, used to chat to them in the playground but they never said anything like their daughter had.
