i've made this guide for a good friend of mine who wanted to learn astral projection, so i decided to write out an article on how to accomplish it through the way i've used.
this guide may be spreaded everywhere as long as credit is given to me(i've spent 30 minute's typing this out from my head)
hope it prove's helpfull
The first steps towards Astral Projection by Revolpathon
to be able to astral project it is strongly recommended that you learn the following steps first.
1.finding your energy center
2.learning how to use energy in daily life
3.mastering energy manipulation within your body
4.learning how to use it outside your body
5.learning how to use it in meditation to shut down your body to bring you in a state where you aren't aware of time and space
6.taking the first steps towards astral projection
7.overcoming any fear that limit's you from astrally projecting
8.Exploring the inner realm (you can do this without any prior knowledge)
1. finding your energy center
Finding your is relatively simple
just focus on the area behind your belly button, the area there is what some call “dan-tien” and others know as energy center, there are lots of definitions for but I'll use the energy center one for now.
I want you to close you to eye's and focus/feel the area where your energy center is located. Visualize a ball forming there. (it can be any color and can have any characteristics)
some people experience a jolt or cramp when finding it, some people don't feel anything at all, you'll know when you found it
2. learning how to use energy in your daily life and mastering it.
This heading is slightly deceptive but I'll let it stand for now.
There are a few technique's I want you to learn. But first some theory!!! yay!
chackra's, there are major chackra's and minor chackra's, the major one's are located along the spine and on your head (I could be wrong since I do this from my head) the minor one's are usually on your limbs (hands feet and the like) I say usually because I “make” temporary chackra's if I want it to come out at a certain place on my body.
Chackra's are basically gate's or portals through which you can suck energy into yourself or push energy out of yourself.
The theory behind chackra's is allot bigger but this basic understanding will do for now.
The first is to teach you how to steer your energy through your body using conduits that already exist but haven't been used or have hardly been used before.
Technique number 1
I want you to focus on your energy center, as soon as you have visualized it I want you to pull a string from that center towards your dominant hand (some people let it come directly through their belly directly to their hands because the other way either doesn't work or they find this easier)
when that strand is connected at your dominant hand you should feel a slight tingly fuzzy feeling, if you focus more on that hand and send more energy to it then the feeling will strengthen. If you accomplished this then congratulations your hand is now filled with energy from your energy center.
Technique number 2 Grounding
this is an important technique. If you ever feel drained of energy (and I don't mean the one you expend by doing hard physical labor or running) your energy center is empty or nearly empty. You will know when you feel this because the feeling isn't a pleasant one and feels like your sick to the bone.
Now it's recommended to stand on soil or grass to learn how to do this at first.
Pull a string from your energy center towards your feet, envision a gate on the sole of your foot and attach the string to it.
Now simply tell the chackra that you just created to suck up the energy (it comes from the earth in this case, don't worry about draining her )
it is fair practice to give and take equal amounts of energy from the earth, so I recommend that if you have energy to spare to give back the energy that you took from her.
You can do the same thing with the air in almost the same way only this time you use your hands instead of your feet, the rest is the same process.
Everything that lives contains energy, but I strongly advice you to not taking from living creature's, plant live can sustain itself through the soil but animals and humans can't and thus have no way to replenish the energy you took besides a good night of rest, there are people called energy vampire's or energy vamps who (deliberately or unconsciously
by this time you probably won't have to focus on pulling string's anymore from your energy center, all you have to do is think that you want energy in your hand and that feeling will come (the fuzzy tingly feeling) the same with grounding. If you aren't capable of it yet than I suggest you pull strings and focus it from your energy towards the point where you want it to be inside your body until you are able of doing that before moving on.
So by now you have mastered the energy manipulation inside your body. Onto the more flashy stuff
4. using energy outside of your body and manipulating physical objects
First technique you will learn is to create a ball of energy, otherwise known as a chi-ball or psi-ball.
Focus the energy in 1 hand (can be either one) and force/send it outside of your hand and visualize it forming a ball shaped sphere.
The tingly fuzzy feeling should feel slightly different now.
Now move your hands together and you should feel a slight pull or push between your hands, if that's the case than congrats you just made energy form outside of your body.
Now to the more flashier stuff I promised. (this technique is known as the psi wheel)
This technique require's a pin that you can put upside down and a piece of paper in a perfect square.
Fold the paper in such a way that when you unfold it you see a + in it, turn the paper over and fold it daigonally twice so you see and x shape.
Now slightly push the paper together so it forms a 3d star with 4 points, and put it on the pin
now this excersise is quite difficult to accomplish. You shouldn't wear long sleeve's because the warm air from the sleeve can make the paper rotate and we dont want that also you shouldn't breath on the paper since that will make it rotate too.
Put your hand beside's the psi wheel you just created and make your hand form a ) or ( shape depends on which hand you use.
There are several way's of going about it but the way that worked for me is to envision energy travveling from the base of your palm towards your fingertips (the point of a star should be between those points) and have it flow at an increasing speed like the wind, eventually the psiwheel will start moving slowly, make sure it is only your energy that is moving it and now a slight draft or your breathing that make's it move.
This technique is hard to pull off (at least it was for me) but satisfying when it is accomplished.
Some people are capable of making pencils roll over the table with this and other stuff, (there are vid's online but not all are real)
the next step from the psi wheel is trying to manipulate bubbles that float in the air (I don't know the english words but you now those things that are ring shaped and when you blow through it it forms a bubble of soap) release a bubble of soap into the air and use your energy to make it go where you want to go (this is very difficult and hard to pull of though so don't quit to soon, also make sure there is hardly any wind present), some people envision hands pushing the bubble, other people try to make a wind of energy push the bubble towards a certain direction and other people try to manipulate the existing wind to make it go in another direction. There is no right or worng way to go about this, try to develop a technique that works for you.
There are allot of other uses for energy outside your body but the only one that's actually usefull is also a dangerous one and one I will not write down here, if ever. It used to be taught in martial arts classes but through western cultural influence's it's deissappeared from the teachings. Some technique's are still taught but not the devastating one's, in martial arts this energy is usually referred to as “Chi”.
5. learning how to use it in meditation to shut down your body to bring you in a state where you aren't aware of time and space
This technique only needs a mastery in using energy inside your body, it will use allot of energy and allot of focus to achieve without any aids except your energy.
The basic outline of it is that you focus on each part of your body and tell it to sleep and sending energy to that bodypart that will help it relax and fall into a sleep state.
This technique should be used while lying down or in a comfy char which also fully supports your head since your neck muscle's will give out
IE. focus on your scalp, tell it to relax, to sleep and repeat that mantra over and over in your head and you will feel the muscle's in your scalp relaxing.
Do the same with your ears and eyebrows and your eyelids and your eyes and your jaw and lips and tongue and neck and shoulders and upper body, lower body, arms, hands, feet, legs (I know I screwed up the order but you get the point)
at the end if you are succesfull your entire body will be coated with your energy that helps it to stay relaxed and asleep, your entire body is asleep and relaxed ecept for your mind (conciousness) which is relaxed by now but still awake.
You were focussing so hard on gettting your body to sleep that you lost all track of time and space, sometime's I hear people saying that they don't even feel their bed anymore but feel as if they are floating, also other people (including myself) sometime's jump spontaneously into either the inner realm (which I will explain later) or the astral plane.
This form of meditation takes up a lot of time but it's definitely my favorite among all other technique's of meditation
6. taking the first steps towards astral projection
You should use the meditation technique I learned you in section 5.
when you are fully relaxed try to roll over, don't move your physical muscle's but your energy muscle's (by now all the strands you've pulled from your energy center will run throughout your entire body so just focus on moving them as a whole). This is a hard step to accomplish because most people don't even remember leaving their body (as a baby and early child you used to do this all the time) and thus the sensation and usage of those muscle's is an entirely foreign expierence for most people, there are allot of “exit” technique's floating around on the internet so I suggest googling them up or develop your own.
Once you have fully exited yout body then I must congratulate you, you are now experiencing and OOBE or Out Of Body Experience, from there the step to enter the astral plane's is a relatively easy one compared to everything you've already accomplished, I envision tearing up the air in front of me like a sheet of paper and thus entering the astral plane's (I use planes since as far as I know there are 7 astral plane's, 1 is the physical plane which we inhibit in our daily live's, the second is the energy plane which you entered by rolling out of your body (or any other techinique you've used) your perception of this plane may also be different, there are 4 planes in total in which we can use our basic 5 (6) senses to navigate and inhibit our energy body, the other 3 plane's are very hard to enter since the physics there are entirely otherworld like, I can't give any info on this further because I have yet to acces those)
7. overcoming any fear that limit's you from astrally projecting
Some people are afraid of astral project ing(consciously or unconscously) because the sensations leading up to leavng your body (the vibrating for example) are strange and weird, this is just a mental block you need to overcome on your own. Since everyone has a different kind of fear or needs another kind of help to overcome it, so I can't really teach you how to overcome it.
8. Exploring the inner realm (you can do this without any prior knowledge)
Now this is where I like to spend most of my nights
the inner realm is a realm where you are basicly god, it's your own “fantasy world” that you yourself create.
Remember fantasizing in bed or during a boring class or just daydreaming, that is your inner realm.
So you basicly already know how to acces it.
The inner realm is handy when it comes to entering the astral plane since it will allow you to become familiar with the sensations. (flight or spending ridiculous length's of time underwater or any other thing that is basicly impossible in the real world) it's also great to relieve stress and frustration in (I will leave it up to yout imagination on how to do that), it's basicly the best amusement park ever build and it doesn't cost a dime.
I know I've given very little information on how to enter it but I did make hints towards how (no fun if I tell you everything ) but there's another reason why I didn't do it, I didn't want to set restrictions on your imagination by typing it all out since restrictions to your imagination basically doesn't exist.
i hope i helped out allot of people with this.
