Greetings everyone! My name is JP and I live in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia. I am totally new to this, I am just starting to learn. I am reading books, but don't have any interaction with anyone yet. I have always been interested in Wicca but I was raised in a christian household. I really never enjoyed being forced to go to church. Once I was old enough, I stopped. I have nothing against other religions just was having issues with being preached too from a book that was put together by Constantine. I am getting to that point in life that I needs something else. I am married with 4 kids, I am a 16 year USAF veteran. I enjoy working on playing with the kids, working on cars, spending time in the outdoors. I prefer to live off of the land but don't have the land to really live off of wear I live! LOL! I love to work with my hands and I try to teach my children to do the same. I have been reading books on Wicca, and I currently reading Wicca for Beginners by Thea Sabin. If anyone has any other books to read I would love the info. I have many questions and would love some help as well. I just realized it is 3am and I really need to get to bed. I hope to hear from yall soon! Have a good night (or morning in this case!!)

Greetings and welcome to the forum.
One book I recommend for everyone The Complete Book of Witchcraft, by Ray Buckland.
While Ray started off as a Wiccan and was a close friend of Gardner, shortly after moving to America, he founded his own tradition..Seax Wica. That said however, this book is a great all round guide to Wicca and really gives you the basics so you can decide whats right for you.

Welcome! Ray Buckland is awesome. Not fluffy. There is a lot of great info here and many wise folks to advise. Glad you're here.
