Just wondering what your favorite workings have been with stones etc. How do you most like to work with them?

I don't work with crystals much, but I like to have them around. My favourites are Amethyst, Clear Quartz, Onyx, Amber and Jet.
I want a really big chunk of Amethyst for Christmas *hopes Santa is listening LOL*
Amethyst emits a healing, calming, peaceful energy, so having a big chunk of it in my living room would be beneficial to me.

Hey fellow Canadian, sillywitch,
I don't know how to answer this question as I use stoens for nearly everything. In fact, I use them so often, that I have schedule time to "de-stone" and ground the energies in myself without crystal assistance. Most often, I go with the energy of the day. For example, if I am feeling a little gloomy or weepy, then I choose to work with stones that add a gentle lift to the heart and mind, like Rose Quartz, Azurite, Sodalite, Citrine etc.; if I need calm, then I pick amber, infinite, moonstone and larimar; if I am having a day where I feel brave enough to face some inner demons, then I will use black obsidian, snowflake obsidian or apache tear to bring up all those nasties to be exposed and released. So, as you can hopefully intuit, there is a stone for every mood which is why they can be used everyday! I hope that you begin working with these energies more--I cannot tell you enough how they have changed my life at such a fundamental level.
Many blessings, cm

I tend to carry them around in my pocket as and when I need them. Black Obsidian has been my companion for the past few weeks, lets just say I'm having problems with certain people sending me negative energy, and I find this stone works wonders for helping me out with this.

Hey D24713,
At the top of the forum list is a board called 'Introduce Yourself'
Go into that board, click on 'new thread,' and tell us a bit about yourself. This way you will not get overlooked in an unrelated thread, and we will all be able to get to know you.
Continue reading posts throughout the forum, and responding if you want. Also feel free to start a new thread in any of the topics.

I like making a crystal mandela, and surrounding it with candles and meditating on it. It's incredibly peaceful. I also like cleansing them in moonlight. I put them in a lead crystal bowl and leave them outside overnight. I then let the sunlight charge them in the morning, and when they are dry I bring them back in the house. Like Hedgwitch I tend to carry them around with me. I have a flourite crystal pendulum which I wear all the time and I carry specific ones depending on what I think will aid me in my task on any given day. I have citrine and clear quartz pendulums too.

Crystals love them. I have a Amythyst stone right above me givin to me by a dear friend a month prior to his death. I sent a heart stone /amythyst neclace, that I had crafted to his bed side. And Had my other friend let him know, this stone represents peace and to reasure him that he would be with God. See this man was an alcholic and died from liver failure, and his family is very religious, and he was frightend to die. His sister next day, and asked about the neclace. That is all he had on besides his gown as he died. the comfort of knowing that his spirit will live on eased his pain, and the stone helped him to be at peace with in his self and his family, and with God.

Should I attempt to scry again with my crystal pyramid? That's what I bought it for. But, I'm still new to scrying, and it's something I'm so very interested in doing, like a lot. I'm asking because I don't know whether the shape of the crystal is significant in things like scrying or not?
Thank you!

scrying can be done in a black bowl of water or any shape or form,i think its personal in what you use for scrying a u are doing the actull scrying. most peaple use black crystals like onyx or obsidain,or paint the backs or mirrors back. i use a cotton quarts for my own scrying in the shape od a sphere.
