ha ha ha Heka. Canada is too far, just get a paddle and I'll wait for you in the Mosbi Wharf. The nationals are making some home made brew though illegal. Hope you'll like the taste!

I have saved this so I can add it to my BoS Thank you. For me the sound of rain has always been soothing. It can lull me to sleep at night and relax me during the day it is a comforting sound. I love watching the rain in puddles we used to call it 'pennies and ha'pennies when I was a child. I'm also adding this to my BOS. Thanks hedge, u rock!

You're welcome - I'm glad you like it. For me the best thing is summer rain (I can say that 'cos I don't live in the UK anymore - lol!) I love the smell from the earth after it has rained - it is just divine - really earthy and raw. Does anyone remember, as a child, tilting their head back, mouth open wide, catching the rain drops therein? You should try it next time it rains - sod the strange looks you'll get from people. It is the most wonderful thing.

I like this Hedge. I love the rain. I miss living in the northwest where it rained all the time. I do get good thunder storms here though. When I get settled I should start collecting those bottles of rain water. Don't think I'll get the grave water though. Could use the silver spoon water cos the fae are always messing with me. Would that eventually anger them though? hmmm. better be careful.

Hedge that is really beautiful. I've grown to love the rain as I've got older and my son, also wiccan, loves to listen to the rain beating on the roof (he sleeps in the top room)

Nice post. I normally use tap water for my magickal working out of laziness mostly. Lulz. These are some things I would like to try though and I plan to put them in my Book of Shadows. Thank you.

I love using rain water and run off water for spell and ritual work. I have all these jars in the cabinet that I keep of various types, full moon rain water, graveyard water and so forth.
When collecting this is as simple as setting a glass outside (with a few exceptions, I understand rainy cemeteries are not a fun place to hang) then no one has any excuses to not have at least sun shower water and full moon water.
I keep a couple of gatorade bottles in my car. I mean if I'm already out and it starts raining and I'm by the cemetary, why not?
Also, it's an easy way to get sunshower water as well since many are at work during daylight hours. I go down to my car and put the bottle on my trunk and let it rain.
My biggest advice is to use tightly sealable jars as even water can get musty.
