I guess it is there decision, but I just dont see how the combination can be harmonious. Paganism and christianity are just too different from each other, thats why paganism is defined as any non-christian path.

I know a christian bishop (I know, terrible, but he is an ok kind of hypocrite) and I asked of him, that question. When he stopped choking, he inquired as to my seriousness. Apparently there exists a long list of references within their bible condemning all kinds of witchcraft, and accusing all who follow that practice as sons and daughters of their devil.

At first I thought I'd just read this thread cause there was not much left for me to say... I was wrong !!! After reading about Folk Magick and they proclaim their allegiance to God...does that not make them "witches" of a sort ? Gentle Light Mollimizz

The fact that all religions believe in a higher power makes different religions not all that different at the end of the day.

The fact that all religions believe in a higher power makes different religions not all that different at the end of the day. Exactly!!! Which is why I never understood how one can think they are right and the others are wrong...I think if every human believed in the same thing the earth would be a very boring place...and think of all the magnificent artwork we'd be missing out on...just because I am no longer Catholic doesn't mean I'm not blown away everytime I step foot into St. Patricks Cathedral... I do wish sometimes we pagans had big stone candle filled cathedrals with stained glass and marble sculptures...

I dont. Nature IS our temples. Its more beautiful than any man made building could ever attempt to be.
And I dont care about christians beliefs, what bothers me is the christians who cant answer a simple question such as "Why do you believe in God?" with anything other than "because the bible says so." Its annoying.
And as for christianity and paganism being mixed, I personally feel it is disrespectful to both religions, but if it makes then feel better, then it is there choice.

A deep spiritual belief comes from within. It's knowing there's a divine presence because you can feel it, you are aware of it and you experience it every day - regardless of what you choose to call it (God, Mohammed, Buddha, Bridget, Thor etc etc) We are all awakening to this same divine light, we just give it different names is all.

Thanks for the reminder, Hedge. I have a hard time separating Christianity from some of the people who practice it.

Be it through fear or elitism, there will always be those that can not accept that their concept of the divine is just one of many.
There will always be those that are ready and willing to impose their faith on other by force or conversion. Those that are willing to die for thier faith and willing to kill others who will not convert.
Even in Paganism you will find the extreamists

BIG NOTE i had been trying to reply for almost 2 hrs to different topics and just a few min ago i had a major meltdown but im back again .(hopefully for longer) I had not read the replies of you peolpe so consider this one like if it was the first reply. My mummy its a bit of a xtian witch . the way she looks at it ( first i must say) she does not go to church , or read the bible etc.... but she believes in a god , jesus , mary and etc... well actualy she is not a xtian but a catholic ( any difference?? ) she has most of my life made spells. but this one are just like love spells, money spells , and that type. But instead of her calling Gods, she calls saints, and in her own words "The Holy Death" and they help her on her request . Even though she thinks that i dont know about it . Come on , she buys big red apples that no one is allowed to eat. even though my lil, brother or sis. got a bit too hungry and ignored what she said because she was looking for it and it was gone lol But thats life, in my house . and im proud to say that my mum without even knowing lead me to this path so thanks mum
