I don't know the meanings of Celtic words/phrases. You said you're not sure if it means soul mate; I'm wondering where did you get the phrase?
Are you asking if we believe this means soul mate, or are you asking if we believe in soul mates?
If you are asking if we believe in soul mates then my answer is yes. Unfortunately mine passed away 4 years ago. I have not been whole, or felt complete, since then. And I know I will never find another to fill that ache.

Not too sure that I believe in soulmates. I feel that I have to feel complete within myelf before going in to a relationship, which is why my marriage did not work. I was too young, unformed, and still changing too much yet to be in a bonded relationship with someone who needed a personal slave.

It's Murin Beatha Dan and it does mean soul mate.
I'm a bit unsure about the term soul mate - I believe there are people that we are more spiritually compatible with but there are many of them as opposed to just one. I agree with you mirabilislane - you have to feel complete within yourself first and foremost..

I am not sure about soul mates. I do feel complete within myself and have a deep connection to my husband he says we are soul mates. We like similar things and we are a good team. I am practical he is less so. ( I am Virgo, he is Cancer )

i do believe in soul mates. i think we have more than one in every life. and i don't think they are necessarily the people we love the most, but the people which teach us the most be it good or bad. and we will meet these souls again and again but our relationship to them will be different every time.

Ive never heard of this. It does sound a bit gailic though. Where'd you come accross the phrase?

I was reading a book with this same prevailing theme. The idea of the soulmate. But it was made clear that only full blood witches seem to have this other half out there. I don't really know what to think. I believe that Hedge and mirabilislane have the right idea. Also that if there is that perfect person, soul mate, out there it would take a lot to find them. This world is vast! and many covens don't get together like they used to. But I think to have a Muria Beartha Dan is a beautiful thing inside and outside the craft. Happy hunting and if you've found yours may you be blessed through this life and the next ^^
