A request was made to have a thread for posting pictures of every one Alter.
Tried to find a photo of one I used in the past but can't and it's been maybe four years since I set on up.

I used to use one but left it at someones house where I used to live. We got in a big fight and I never went back for it. Hope to get a new one in the near future. |

i don't have an alter as of yet .. don't know if i will, i have to see where my path leads me but do have a room. and am filling it with those things close to my heart, it's where i go to ground myself if un able to get outside; to gather energies when needed and to think on those things that i have read or learning. does that count ;D

If your into ritual and doing things in the wiccan way, then an alter might be suited to you. However, not every one uses or needs one.
If you look at the Shamanic paths, (mind you there are many) most don't use physical alters as the body itself is an alter. Or a large flat rock or tree trunk (something in nature).
Personally, I use visualization. During meditation, I "see" what it is I want or need to do and preform what ever ritual or spell totally within my mind.

 This is my altar...erm...desk/cabinet, lol. I got the desk when my grandfather died and he had actually installed a lock on the rolltop part. Which is kind of nice, really. Keeps the nosies out of my stuff. |
