I had a dream two nights ago where I saw all the girls I was friends with up until mid-high school. I remember feeling so inadequate in my dream, and I kept trying to walk away from those girls. There was always something I admired about each of those girls; each had a trait I wanted to have. Lots of friends, gorgeous figure, etc. Strange dream...and I kept trying to escape. It's strange, I am so different now. I'm confident in myself. Why would I even have that dream? Has anyone else had a dream like that, with a feeling of vulnerability?

It could well be that regardless of what think you felt at the time, it was actually a comfortable time of your life. If you've recently or are going through some changes that have you a bit stressed, subconsciously, you could be attempting to regain those simpler times.

Oh, interesting. O: I think maybe the stress came from my borderline grades. Lots of pressure on my finals because I really need a 4.0 gpa.
I had another strange dream just last night where I was being forced into prostitution by my friend and I remember feeling scared and anxious because I didn't want to be picked. It's kind of embarrassing to admit it, though. >.<

That one seems easy to understand. If you're feeling that someone is taking advantage of you or trying to put you into a situation (especially if you resent it) that you really don't want to be in, you might have a dream along that line.
The brain is like some kind of organic computer. It takes in all of our experiences, situations, emotions, etc, during the day. When we sleep, it takes what ever information accumulated and breaks it down into little bits for storage. It's that breaking down and processing that gives us most of our dreams. If a string is connected to a strong emotion or maybe related to a similar memory, our dreams can be either very vivid or weird.

Hmm. It seems so easy to interpret someone else's dreams, but when trying to understand your own it's more difficult.

Funny thing is, it's rare that I remember my own dreams anymore. It might be as I know what the process is, the event of remembering the dream is less important.

Woah, so you can understand your dreams without having to remember exactly what happened in them? It's so alien to me. I have dreams almost every single night and all are strange and vivid. I've never had a dream where I thought I was just living my daily life, unless they were nightmares.
Have you had lucid dreams before?

Absolutly. Many times. I have had some dreams that start off very weird or unpleasent, realize I'm dreaming and take control of the events.
Not all dreams are data processing. Sometimes the subconcious just likes to play and create it's own "existance". It's those dreams that you can take control of as it's all fantasy as opposed to hard data.
In my view, we each have three bodies. The Physical body that we have all know to love or hate. Out Higher body, which is our Life Spark (soul) or direct connection with the divine. And our Astral body. It forms a connection between our physical body and life spark. It makes itself known to us through our subconcoius mind. It's this body that from time to time wonders off on it's own so to speak, has it's own experiences and in so doing, causes us to have some odd dreams that don't seem to make any sense.

Oh that's interesting an interesting point of view (: I don't really have one 'cause I'm always so uncertain about the conscious, subconscious and superconscious. I love lucid dreaming...Every once in a while I realize that I'm dreaming and then I just start doing crazy things haha. (x I'm sure I haven't had as many as you, since I haven't lived long enough to have a good count. When I get to dream lucidly, I'm always initially having a good dream. When I have nightmares it always feels like reality until I wake up and get the "thank god it was just a dream" feeling.
Cherokeewind, continue! I want to hear. (:

I don't want to sound weird, but to me it sounds like a beautiful dream. Not just by its meaning, but the way it played out. (:

Interesting. I do have some thoughts but first, can you discribe the person?
While you didn't say it, I beleive the doors on the cabinet where carved with a scene of nature. And the robe was made of leather.
At least, as I was reading your text, that's the image I got.

Yep, I was sure that person was a woman. Usually, when I post a dream interpritation, I try to give some general meanings and allow the other person to come to their own conclusion. But this one.....it was different.
I found some time ago that I'm slightly empathic. When I read letters, posts, what ever, I can sometimes get glimpses of what the author saw or felt.
The cabinet was a large spirit box and when you opened it you encountered the spirit it housed. She is an old soul with great knowledge. My vision of her was that she was not quite to your shoulders in height, she had black hair turning gray. She was native and wore a deer skin dress. I could see the bead work. Over her shoulders she wore a heavy robe, I think of Buffalo hide. When I saw her, I heard an unspoken word. I was going to say mother, but I think grand mother is more like it.
This started when you found that piece of Jasper, the one I said reminded me of a tooth. I told you I could feel a power within it. But it's a good power. Treasure it.
She is your guide my friend. She may appear to you in many ways but your path is about to take a new direction.

Sounds like a good place to visit, but sadly, I never have.

cherokeewind this is very strange. I have a cabinet 6 ft tall and 3 ft wide, the doors covered with carvings of birds. Inside are glass doors that fold up and in. I 've been told it is priceless. Its been in the family for generations. But no one knows where it came from. Very intriging.
