lots of roman temples have been found in london and all over england come to that. theories are abundant as to where people came from Atlantis is seen to be a myth but all myths have a basis of truth. It would be lovely to trace things back and find Atlantis and that they populated the British Isles.

Roman temples for sure. The Roman controlled so much of the known world and of coarse they would build temples to their own Gods.
I read some place that Stonehenge was built by a race know as the Green Men but I've yet to read much about them. Lots of carvings around Britain but not a lot of history.
History is such a cruel trickster. Whole societies destroyed or merged by/with others. Those specific traditions, cultures, etc, either forgotten or twisted so as not be be recognized.

The problem with history is that it's written by the victors of conflicts, which is why there are many tales of the terrible 'pagans and witches' written by the catholic church in this country to frighten their congregations and keep them in line (and of course paying the church for the privilege) I'd love it if there were written pre-roman history for the british isles . but there is no record of a written language and the old spoken tradition was lost with the destruction of the old religion

I am Irish, Native American and German. I Don't know a thing about German or Native American Deities but do worship some Irish Gods and Goddesses, one being Brigid. Regardless, my main pantheon is Egyptian-- I connected with Egypt at very a young age. When I became a pagan, I immediately chose Ra and Isis as my main Gods, which later changed to Osiris and Isis.

My Fathers side of the family is from Paris, they came to America in 1770. I have the bible from 1779 with everything documented in it. I don't get it out much, it doesn't need to be handled very much. My grandmothers side is from Ireland, Her family name was Love. My grandfathers family name was Coquillet. Of course, there have been several letters added to the end of it by now. So people could pronounce it easier. My mothers side of the family is Native American. I know very little about them. Sadly.

On my Mudders side of da famalee, they also come from Paris, in 1606 to Canada and Port Royal. His nam was Louis Hebert, a little bit famous, yes?
I've working on the famaly tree for about a month through Ancestry.com. Relitives have been sending pictures and I've been pring the branches, putting them into a binder with the photos. Starting to be quite the history lesson.
Dad's side traces back to Wales and Lord Bateman - Hanbury. Very posh as they say. ;D
