1. Free your heart from hatred. 2. Free your mind from worries. 3. Live simply. 4. Give more. 5. Expect less.
I saw this on a paperweight in a catalog and thought I would share it... ;D

That is really nice. They sound simple in principal but in practice they are not quite so easy to achieve.......especially the first two. But good goals to aspire to none-the-less. ;D

I sometimes feel I have freed my heart from most of the hatred I once held. Then I get upset with someone and feelings come flooding back. But I have noticed a significant difference. I now acknowledge those feelings and let them go. Also I no longer feel guilty for having feelings of hatred or dislike. Becoming a Reiki practitioner has had a profound impact on my life. This is just one small way.
Freeing my life from worry also became much easier because of Reiki. I realized I was an enabler to my children and husband. Now that I have stopped being part of the chaos and part of the solution, I refuse to buy into their issues.
I also find I am much more of a giver than ever before. Before I always gave money, now I give of my time. That's not to say I am not selfish with my time at times, but I am more motivated to do what needs to be done without begruding.
I have to say I do expect less as I have learned people are not always who or what I think they should be. I refuse to let other people and their problems attach themselves to me.
Live simply... nah. I want it all, baby!!
