I was wondering if there was any significant meaning if an owl comes to visit...this is not a normal occurrance. Where I live is pretty developed...although we do have some woods and live adjacent to a park...but, this is the first time an owl came to the house...he was so beautiful... He just sat in a pine tree, and let me snap a few pics... they all came out blurry (crappy camera)...but this is the best one...

A quick google found this:
Most Pagans believed Owl imparted the ability to see through deception and bestowed psychic awareness. Others believed she was an omen of misfortune and death.

Lisa, he is beautiful and you are very honoured to have been granted this pic. I get owls around the house at certain times of the year and I feel so priviledged to hear their haunting cries - there are very special creatures and signify wisdom and ancient knowledge - who knows it may be yours! Sxx

Oh my he is beautiful. A visit from him might be telling you a few messages. Such as the fact that you are a private complex person that doesn't like others to know what you are really thinking. This can sometimes lead to misunderstandings especially in the area of personal relationships. Owls have many abilities which set them apart from all other birds. Their wings which are extremely soft and thick, allow them to fly silently as they can swoop down on unsuspecting prey. They are able to slip in and out of places unnoticed and can teach us how to do the same. The people with this medicine are usually gifted with clairvoyant and clairaudient abilities. Souls who are born with this totem have chosen a path which suggests a need to refine and perfect these gifts for the aid of others. They make excellent therapists, psychologists and counselors. Active at dawn and dusk owls are sometimes referred to as the night eagle, a messenger from the darkness and a guide through all the mysteries that it contains. It teaches us how to embrace our personal darkness without fear. Owls are sometimes thought to come to those that are about to die. This does not mean a physical death as much as it means the letting go of some part of yourself that is not serving you. Owls with their spectral senses help guide us through the dark tunnels of fear, change and uncertainty to the brilliant light shining at the other end. If the owl appears in your life thank it for its willingness to guide you through its shadowy realm to the other side of promise and joy. taken from here..

What a beautiful Bird. I love the Owls - often I am followed around by them; they always make sure that I see them. I do not suppose that they are trying to tell me anything, unless they fly at me. Then I know they want me to go away, which I do.

I love owls. I tend to see them a lot in my dreams and in person. Flying overhead, near me, in my view, away etc. In my dreams they generally carry messages. But my animal totem is the owl. Which can be peculiar at times, but I am very glad it was able to help you.
