Now I don't mind spiders...I can appreciate them and know when to keep my distance. I don't disturb their cobwebs - after all, they help keep the flies and mossies away. BUT... If I saw one of these I would shit my pants!!

I have yet to see a camel spider. I do not know how I will react, especially if the critter is chasing my shadow.

some fascinating insights here, I am scared of the 8 legged ones yet I respect them and although I cannot bring myself to pick them up bare handed I will get a glass and some paper and put them outside (even if I am trembling slightly lol)

That would totally freak me out. I hate spiders.
I've got horse chestnuts all over the house just to keep them out. It works too

I love spiders. I plan on getting two tarantula's once the weather warms up. They come to me a lot. Generally when i'm avoiding a problem or am otherwise not listening to something important. Then they tend to come in hoards of 10 or more and stalk me till I listen, it works too. It's quite scary to be stalked by 10 or more spiders all watching you, with the evil stink eye. They offer quite a bit of energy/magick help too. If you respect them. They are weavers after all. And Camel spiders make me think of those big New Zealand spiders. www.teara.govt.nz/NR/rdonlyres/B9FF4B05-EB07-4766-BA8B-2C6695D4316D/173615/p12714pc.jpgHowever, once a spider gains that extra body extension. It's not really a spider anymore. More of a hybrid. The spider above is also known as a Mygalomorph, which is a specific breed or hybridization of spiders. Related to Tarantulas. Who are technically not spiders. Anyway.

P.s. It also says the Camel spider is a hybrid between a spider and a scorpion. Which sorta proves my point about the whole, extra body. Their head is supposed to be fused to their 'breast', they lack a real thorax.

By the way, if nobody has previously mentioned this. It might be good to write, or pick up some form of "weaving". Like sewing, crochet, knitting, maybe pottery even? Just something that your creating with your hands in a web like sense, generally works. A lot of people with a strong spider influence tend to like and or be good at the above things. I love to sew and plan to pick up knitting, weaving, and crochet. Quite different for a seventeen year old, eh? ;D

I write a lot..i'm a songwriter...I can crochet, it just doesn't work for me, but I do knit lol. And who wants to be normal? Especially in a world like this one?

Yes that's Mr hedge's hand, yes that's his pet tarantula. He doesn't have her anymore, she died. He said the most amazing thing was seeing her when she escaped out of her tank and was crawling across the ceiling. Even though she used to crawl over him he said seeing her on the ceiling was a most frightening experience. Weird Huh!

Aww. I think seeing them above you, directly, is more frightening. Than actually crawling on the floor, wall, or you. Probably because it's above you.
