Merry Meet!
I just joined this coven and it looks really awesome. But I have a question:
Throughout the Internet, one of the main reasons online covens are criticized is most are just like any pagan website message board forum. So my question is, what's makes this website a real online coven? What's the difference between this coven and any spiritual pagan message board forum?

Hey, your from Portland....
I was born in Salem, my mom still lives there.
I guess the best definition of a coven (at least the one that works for me) is a number of people coming together to talk about and share what ever they individually have for the benefit of the group.
Yes, we are like most other forums in that we are on the internet. Our difference is that a great many of the other forums have been started by people that have very little knowledge of their own. Maybe they read one or two books, burnt some candles and cast a love spell they got off some internet site just like theirs and think they understand enough to give advise and make claims of being a High Priestess / Priest.
The majority of our core members have been on their paths between 10 - 20 years. I my self have been seeking understanding for over 40 years. (and still looking and learning every day). And I think you will find that a very large percentage of the pagan community is actually a bunch of solitaries who share ideas but practice in private.

I went off to look for me and got lost...no one bothered to tell me to sit down and wait on myself to come back...but now that I'm back I'm sticking around for a bit. Got a new great granddaughter at 6:30 am today...she's beautiful. Bright Blessings to all.
