 FRUSTRATION
« Thread Started on Sept 19, 2009, 8:04am »

Like so many other people who encounter this from time to time, I'm going through a phase of not feeling all that "mystical, magical, spiritual"
I've been attempting to come up with an original idea to post to generate some discussion ....ain't happening.
I don't know.....maybe just the pressure of the real world. Off sick for two months and now so far behind on work I may never see day light, trying raise my grand kids and taking on the role of Soccer dad at my age.

I guess it's a matter of perspective. Need to take some time for myself and clear my head.
That said, Tuesday, kids in school, wife at work...I'm going fishing!
Salmon are running (pinks) and I can cast from the rocks just a few blocks away. At best, I can come home with supper. At worst, I can meditate in a totally perfect surrounding.

I know what you mean WS, I get moments like this too. Getting back to nature is a sure quick fix for getting your mojo back.
Happy fishing my friend.

My grandchildren are my biggest source of joy. BUT I don't have them all the time. When that happens I can well understand that what was joyous can become bogged down in worry and responsibility. Becoming your grandchildren's full-time carer is not something you expect to happen. Yes, I'd take off fishing, (or walking or whatever) I always find that a day or two with nature has a calming effect. I'd also stop being so hard on yourself; your grandkids are lucky to have you - so many don't have that sort of security to fall back on these days (and as a former foster parent I've heard some heartbreaking stories first hand). You are giving them warmth, food, security and love, which is all they need to thrive, anything else is a bonus which you can, and should, congratulate yourself on.

One, small mouth bass. Then the wind came up a blow me and my canoe to the middle of the lake. I spent the next hour trying to get back in. Relaxing......not!
